The Bard's Tale Cheats

Cheat Mode Enter these codes while in game. Hold the left and right trigger when entering. This will unlock levels on the map, but you must travel on the map to go there. Hold L2 or R2 and press Right to display the debug menu. To get to any level, choose the "Level select" option from the debug menu. This allows you to directly jump to any level, even the final ones. Game Unlockables Donate to the priests to unlock the specified objects. The numbers indicate the amount of large, separate donations that need to be made. Walk up next to the cow and press X. The Bard will push the cow over, and as soon as you walk off screen the cow will be set up again. Hint: Alternate storyline If the puppy joins your party, it changes the story somewhat. For example, when you face The Pet it will crush your dog, killing it. Later when you run into the skull in the dungeon, it says that someone from your past wants to see you again and it brings your undead dog back into your party. Hint: Easy kills After you kill the giant rat in the beginning of the game, go through Houton village and find the puppy in the middle part of the village. Respond nicely and the dog will follow you. As you journey on, the dog will distract enemies, thus making easier kills. Secret: Cow tipping, the rest of the story Ok, you can tip cows. You can also kill chickens, and sometimes they leave you a nugget which is worth 1 silver and a laugh. But... if you kill too many chickens and tip too many cows there are a couple of animals who will take exception to this and there's actually a battle or two to be had. It's been a while, but I think I recall getting some experience from it. You must be patient to annoy a creature as dumb as a chicken, so kill lots and enjoy your nuggets! Submitted By: bodb
