Cow level Successfully complete the game to get the Horadaric Cube. Then, obtain "Wert's Leg" in Tristram (where you go to rescue Deckhard Cain). Go to the northwest part of the town and search the boy's body. Place both Wert's leg and a Tome of Town Portal in the Horadaric Cube, and it will open a portal to a hidden level filled with axe carrying cows. Do not go through the portal until you are over level 35 because the cows are quite numerous and strong. Kill Strong Monsters in Town NOTE: Works only for Necromancer. Go to the Bridge leading out of Kurast in Act III, and you should see a robed figure named the " Dark Wanderer". As soon as he walks for a bit, he teleports away and summons a few beasts to bash your skull. Right now, lead all of the monsters to the bridge, but summon any monster excluding a mage, and they should fight the enemies while you are still in the protection of the town. Your beast should fight the enemies, while the enemies themselves do nothing. Unlimited Gold In single player, When you enter the red portal to Tristram, fight through the enemies and you should find Wirt's Corpse. If you click on his corpse close to 300 gold will pop out and a weapon, Wirt's Leg. Every time you die, you can return to his body and take the gold. However, Wirt's Leg is a special item and you cannot have two of them. More money for items Identify or repair items before selling them. Increase Difficulty In-Game To do this, you must press the ENTER key as soon as you join the game, and type in ''/players X'', replacing X with a number from 1 to 8. For example, entering ''/players 8'' will make the game as hard as it would be if there were 8 players in it, which will give way more EXP and better drops, but the monsters will be much harder. Note: This does not work with the Lord of Destruction expansion. Infinite one way portal Cast a Town Portal from a safe location, then take the portal into town. Use the waypoint system and run to get back to your last location. This allows you to use the portal to go back into town an unlimited number of times as long as you do not use it from town to return to where you were previously. The Secret Cow Level To get to the Secret Cow Level, you must have beaten the game on that difficulty, then go to the Rogue Encampment, take Wirt's Leg and a Tome of Town Portal into the Horadric Cube, transmute it and a portal to the Cow Level appears, there are hordes or cows here, be warned, once you kill the Cow King, you cannot go there again on that difficulty so you can go there 3 times, once on each difficulty if you kill him. However if you do not kill the Cow King, you can keep going there and get lots of items and gold. Avoid no-win situation Press (Esc) when facing imminent death, then save and exit the game. Load the game again to start in town, where you can buy weapons, life, etc. Retrieve items after death Save and exit the game after dying. Restart the game, and your corpse will be in town, allowing you to retrieve your possessions. Windowed game Start the game with the "-w" command line parameter to run it in a window on the desktop.
