Enter these cheats in any time during gameplay. You cannot be in a window for choosing stuff, though. For the messages, look for it to appear in the text box in the lower-right-hand corner of the screen. I do not believe that you have to be in a specific scenario for this to take effect. When you type what's in the "Code" column you get that effect

with scenario password, enter Debug mode. Monsters don't move while in combat and die in one hit. However, you will recieve no gold or experience.
