- Big Guns: Fort Constantine, in the basement of the CO Quarters inside a safe in the wall.

- Science: Vault 106, on a table in middle of the living quarters second level main room.
- Small Guns: National Guard Depot, go through the training room and offices to exit from a door to the main room. Use the power switch on the wall to your left and enter the Armory door, then search the shelves.
- Sneak: Yao Guai Tunnels, on top of a metal box in the Den, on the right of the map near some water.
- Speech: Paradise Falls, on a table inside Euology's pad (Slave Master's house).
- Unarmed: Rockopolis, go directly west from Casey Smith's garage. Look for tattered banners that are strung up. Use your local map to find it.
Early detectionWhen wandering around in the world or towns, use the following trick to get an early heads up on enemies, encounters, or learn who is nearby. Keep tapping [V.A.T.S.] while searching at all angles. If there is something out there, you will get the V.A.T.S. zoom in with a low score. You will at least know what is there and can figure out a plan of attack or how best to sneak around it. Caravan LootIf you ever see a Caravan, with the two headed cow, Brahmin, kill the owner and the guard and get the key from the owner to get the Brahmin's items, I've gotten 4 "Fatman" guns from this, and they almost always carry the schematics to a "Rock-It Launcher", which is a pretty good weapon. Submitted By: sirrussel5 JaerikoIf you talk to Jaeriko about going back into the wastes, he will join you if you give him 1,000 caps for supply money. Defeating robots in the WastelandsRun up a steep hill with the robot at the bottom. Some robots have problems shooting upwards at a steep angle. Shoot at them as you are running up the hill to destroy them easily. Lock pickingUse the following trick to avoid breaking bobby pins when trying to pick a lock. Just before the bobby pin is going to break, exit that screen then go back. You will save a lot of bobby pins by doing this. This also works when trying to get a password for computers. Easy StealingSave the game before starting a dialogue with a Speech bonus, hacking a computer, lock picking, or pick pocketing. Simply reload the game if you fail the challenge.
Butch FollowerAfter you complete the "Trouble at Homefront" quest if you sabotage Vault 101 and not kill Overseer Mack. You can find Butch (from the "Tunnel Snakes" gang) in "The Muddy Rudder" in Rivet City Submitted By: sirrussel5 Star Paladin Cross FollowerWhen you play through the main story you will arrive at "The Citadel". When you go into the Lab here you can find her, she is upstairs, she has a Super Sledge Hammer and a Laser Pistol Submitted By: sirrussel5 Free caps and slave collarFor the "Strictly Business" quest, capture Susan Lancaster and receive your reward for her capture. Afterwards, speak with her in the slave quarters part of Paradise Falls. Note: You will need one of the slaver's keys to access the slaves quarters; pickpocket one. After entering the slave quarters, speak with Susan. When she asks for help, choose the option "You're a slave. Deal with it.", then return to Grouse to collect your reward again. Grouse will think that you captured her again. You can repeat this for 250 caps and a slave collar each time. Stealing and ResellingWith a Sneak Rating of at least 60 and several Scrap Metals in your inventory, head to Fort Independence. Look for Protector Casdin and trade your scrap metals for some goodies. Save your game and steal back the scrap metals you've traded him. Repeat the process to get free items indefinitely. Submitted By: vhayste Extra StorageWhen you have a companion, you can dump your stuff to them temporarily through trading since they don't have capacities/ limit. Remember to get your valuables before they leave you. Submitted By: vhayste Carrying Heavy ItemsIn case you'll need to carry a heavy item but your inventory is full, simply pick up the item and hold it in front of you. The weight of that item won't count on your capacity, preventing you from getting encumbered. Submitted By: vhayste Super Mutant Behemoth locationsThere are five Super Mutant Behemoths that can be found and killed. After they die they cannot respawn. You can find them at the following locations.
- Galaxy News Radio: This Behemoth will destroy a wall just outside the GNR Building as you enter the area (quest related).
- Evergreen Mills: At the bandit camp near Vault 112, a Behemoth is behind an electric enclosure beside the train tracks. When the generator powering the enclosure is destroyed the Behemoth will escape.
- The Capitol Building: Use the west entrance and go inside the main room. Look on the map. The room is straight down the hall from the entrance. However debris will force you to find an alternate route there.
- Industrial: Located east of the GNR Building at the end of the map. The Behemoth is just north of the factory, standing in the middle of some wrecked cars.
- Jury Station: Go west until you find a group of crumpled up train cars. Search this area until the Behemoth appears. You will know if you are in the correct area if you see a teddy bear in a shopping cart.
Brahmin tippingFind a solitary Brahmin. Sneak next to it while unarmed. While crouched, interact with it to tip it over. Dart GunThe first part of the schematic for the Dart Gun are found at the MDPL-05 Power Station on the northwest tip of the Capital Wasteland. Another part is obtained from Hannibal Hamlin after completing the Lincoln Memorial quest for the slaves. The last schematic is found in a locked chest at the Boutique Le Chic in Tenpenny Tower. Parts required are a toy car, surgical tubing, paint gun, and Radscorpion poison gland. The Dart Gun cripples your target's legs. It is very useful when used on fast melee opponents such as Deathclaws. It also poisons your target for eight seconds. National Guard Armory: Secret weapons cacheThere is a hidden area in the National Guard Armory that contains an experimental MIRV gun (the most powerful weapon in the game) and the Small Arms bobblehead. Megaton: Hidden sniper rifle cacheYou can find a sniper rifle and other supplies hidden in a rock near Megaton. Easy capsOnly proceed if you want to take the "evil" path. After agreeing to help Mr. Burke nuke Megaton, go into every single house and steal everything (any little piece of junk you can carry). Sell them to the local shops (Craterside Supplies, The Restaurant, Moriarty's Saloon, etc.). If a particular house is locked or you need a key to get into a safe or something of that nature, simply kill the owner of said property and get the key from his or her body. Kill everyone in sight, especially the shop owners because you can get access to their entire inventory, plus the caps that you have already spent on them. Kill every one and collect everything to leave Megaton empty. You should have at least 600 caps. Remember to sell some of the things you gather to the shop owners because you cannot fast travel when over encumbered. This can be done in almost any town you visit. To avoid getting over encumbered, get all the supplies that you can possibly carry, then drop the rest just outside of Megaton. Fast travel to Rivet City or some other marketplace. Sell what you have, then return to Megaton and repeat the process. Easy "Silver-Tongued Devil" achievementAt any point, travel to Big Town on the map. Talk to Buttercup about her dating Pappy. After that go, initiate the speech challenge with Pappy and keep on clicking the "Speech" option. Because it will never go away you can just keep clicking it until you get the "Silver Tongued Devil" achievement. This trick works best if you speech is at least 30 to succeed in the Speech challenge. Note: This requires the unpatched version of the game. Easy Karma level achievementsIn order to get multiple "Reach level ? with ? Karma" achievements, try to remain neutral for the duration of the game. When you are getting close to one of the notable achievement levels (8, 14, or 20), save the game. Then, turn evil or good by completing a quest giving you good karma or murdering random characters. This will send you into the good or bad karma statuses while giving you experience. Once you get the achievement for reaching a certain level with bad or good karma, reload your saved game and continue as usual with neutral actions. It is easiest to neutrally level somewhere with a lot of enemies, such as the D.C. area with Super Mutants, or subways or caves with Ghouls and Mirelurks. Note: Using this trick is easiest with a neutral/bad character, because once you get close to reaching a notable level, you can just go to Megaton, Rivet City, or another major settlement and kill people to get experience. After leveling, reload the game and no one will be mad at you. Defeating Super MutantsThe hunting rifle is the best common weapon. Head shots in or out of V.A.T.S. work well; Chinese assault rifle, or combat shotgun up close. The scoped .44 Magnum and sniper rifle are great if you have the ammunition. Use grenades and missiles for groups. Aim low with the missile launcher because it tends to wander a bit in flight. If you have a few seconds of distance between you, drop a few mines for them. They will run over them. The Centaurs are like Super Mutant guard dogs, because if you see one there are probably Super Mutants near. Killing the Centaurs is necessary at times, but they are almost always empty upon searching the corpse. Also when in a area controlled by Super Mutants, always check the gore bags. It may be gross, but it is a good place to scrounge for items.
Super Mutant Behemoth Locations1. Evergreen Mills
2. Galaxy News Radio
3. Jury Station
4. Takoma Industrial
5. The Capitol Building Submitted By: vhayste Alien Blaster Weapon and Ammunition Location UpdateThe Alien Blaster is located North of MDPL-13 Power Station, and West of Greener Pastures Disposal. At the Power Station there I believe there is a power switch on a transformer looking thing, this switch is for you to recieve the Alien Radio Signal, hit it. There are important landmarks to direct you to the Alien Crash site, if you go North from the Power Station, there is a ruined bridge you must cross, after that keep heading North, if you follow this road you are on, you should see a destroyed house to your left or to your west. Behind that house is the crash site. Up by the windshield on the other side of the rock is the Alien Blaster and About 200 Alien Power cells, you can find more cells at Fort Independence, but you must kill Brotherhood Outcasts to gain entrance, clear out the building and you will find the Alien Power cells downstairs through a research room. There is a fairly good armory with plenty of 5mm ammo and missles. Here is where the extra ammo is located. Submitted By: sirrussel5
Fear FactoryEnter the museum, and examine the notice on the wall terminal to the far right. The text is about a virus infecting their Archetype, and at the end it repeats parts of the song "Archetype" by Fear Factory: "the infection has been removed, the soul of this machine has improved". Brahmin TippingIf you come upon a Brahmin anywhere in the wasteland (a Brahmin, not a pack Brahmin) you can crouch and hit the interact button to tip the Brahmin over. Alien and alien blasterGo to the Minefield then head north if you keep going you'll eventually pick up a radio signal from the alien space craft when you find it there is a space craft and special gun with limited ammo. Tommy James And The ShondellsAt Paradise Falls are two slaves around Eulogy's Pad named Crimson and Clover. They are Eulogy Jones' bodyguards. This is a reference to a song by Tommy James And The Shondells called "Crimson And Clover". Ozzy OsbourneIn the Underworld (located inside the Museum of History), there is a ghoul named "Mister Crowley". This is a reference to a song by Ozzy Osbourne called "Mr.Crowley".
Infinite XPYou can gain infinite XP if your speech skill is high enough.(My speech was about 30 at the time). Go to town called "Big Town" located north of Vault 101.If you spoke with a girl named Bittercup she should tell you about her dating exploits. After speaking with her, go into the house marked "Common House" and speak to a man named Pappy. There should be a speech skill dialogue option that says "You came here with Bittercup, right?" You will get XP every time you click it. (I got 6XP with each click). Continue to do this and you can rack up XP in mere seconds. Bethesda has not yet patched this glitch. SandmanThis a glitch for getting infinite exp Steps: 1.) Reach level 10 with a sneak skill of 60 and get the Mr. Sandman perk. 2.) Go to Andale (south central part of the map) 3.) Wait until around 1am and go into the Smith house while they are sleeping. 4.) Go upstairs into the kid's bedroom 5.) Use sandman on him (crouch and select him and and use the first option) 6.) Repeat step 5 7.) Increase difficulty for more XP Floating BrahimGo to Megaton, as you go down the slope, there will be a Brahim on the right. Crouch up beside it, but make sure it has seen you (if it doesnt know you are there, it wont work)
Press action on it repeatedly. You will be pushing it. It will suddenly float up in the air, as it is been pushed onto the ramp to the medicine centre
the banister is acctually a few inches below the brahims feet it will be able to turn around and walk slightly eventually it will fall off. Submitted By: doyle138
