Select Sonic and press Up + Jump. While pressing those, continuously hold Up while jumping, and it Sonic will appear to be glittering. He will be invincible until he stops running his fastest.
Level select
Press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right on the title screen.
