Pause the game and enter the options menu. Hold (L) and press (C-Left)x9. The seventh digit of the "Specials" option will change to the number "1" to confirm correct code entry. Resume game play. The score will change to "Them 1 - You 0" and the game clock will be set to "0:00". To activate this code without ending the game, use it immediately after a goal or at a face-off before the puck is dropped.
Enter the team select screen. Then choose an opposing team and press the (C-Right)x3. A click will confirm correct code entry. Select your team, and start game play.
Hold (L) and press (C-Right), (C-Left)x2, (C-Right), (C-Down), (C-Up)x2, (C-Down), (C-Left), (C-Right)x2, (C-Left), (C-Right), (C-Left) at the options screen. A fight will break out at regular intervals during the current period.
Pause the game during the opening face off and select the replay option. Press (L) or (R) to cause a player to flash. Press (Z) while the player is flashing to make him invisible. The entire team can be modified in this manner.
Hold (L) and press ((C-Right), (C-Left)x2) three times at the options screen. The Minnesota, Quebec, Winnipeg and Hartford teams will now be accessible.
Enter main menu and highlight the play game option. Hold any "C" button and press (Start). A game featuring Wayne Gretzky and the New York Rangers will begin.

Press (Z) in the options, setup, or audio menus. An advertisement will scroll across the lower part of the screen. A different ad appears each time (Z) is pressed.
Turn on the game and tap (A) or (B) before pressing (Start), until the credits appear.
If you want to play as Wayne Gretzky right away, go to Start Game and hold down one of the C button, and press Start. You will you will then be in a game where you are the Rangers versus a random opponet.
